About Tahiria Hospital

Tahiria Hospital – In the Service of Humanity

All praise is due to Almighty Allah, the Most Merciful and the Most Gracious, whose boundless grace and kindness have enabled the establishment of Tahiria Hospital—a noble centre of humanitarian service—in the remote area of Kalikapur. I humbly extend my heartfelt greetings and sincere gratitude to all our well-wishers whose prayers, encouragement, and unwavering support continue to strengthen and guide this noble mission. Healthcare, after food, clothing, and shelter, is one of the most basic necessities of human life. Yet for many years, the vast Haroa region of North 24 Parganas lacked access to quality medical care. Patients were compelled to travel long distances to Barasat or Kolkata for treatment. Poor road conditions, inadequate transportation, and high expenses made medical care especially difficult for the poor, helpless, and socially backward sections of society. Moved deeply by this harsh reality, Hazrat Maulana Abdus Samad Sahib (D.B.)—Founder and Editor of Madrasa Darul Uloom Kalikapur and a respected social worker—envisioned the establishment of a dependable healthcare institution for the people of this region. The realization of that noble vision took shape as Tahiria Hospital, which formally began its journey on 5th February 2005, with the prayers, goodwill, and active support of eminent educationists, Members of Parliament, MLAs, social workers, renowned doctors, intellectuals, and thousands of local residents. With the passage of time, Tahiria Hospital has proudly completed two decades of dedicated service. Alhamdulillah, these twenty years stand as a testament to trust, quality care, and compassionate service, especially for people living in the remote and underserved areas of North 24 Parganas. Nestled amidst lush greenery and natural serenity, the hospital is located just 3.7 km from Haroa, offering a calm and healing environment for patients and visitors alike. The tranquil surroundings and pollution-free atmosphere significantly contribute to the recovery and well-being of patients. Renowned medical expert Professor Dr. P. Moulick aptly remarked: “Wonderful hospital in a rural setting. Nature has showered its blessings on this hospital.” Indeed, nature itself acts as a healing force here—an invaluable asset of Tahiria Hospital. Over the last 20 years, the hospital has been visited and appreciated by numerous MPs, MLAs, social workers, intellectuals, and well-wishers who have commended its management, quality of care, and humanitarian commitment. Their guidance, prayers, and encouragement continue to inspire us to move forward with renewed dedication. Today, Tahiria Hospital is not merely a medical institution—it is a trusted sanctuary of faith, hope, and compassionate service for the people of this region, committed to serving humanity with sincerity, dignity, and excellence

Hazrat Maulana Abdus Samad Mondal (Administrator)

All praise is due to Allah (SWT), the Most Merciful and Most Gracious, whose infinite mercy and kindness have enabled us to establish this noble centre of service in a remote and underdeveloped area like Kalikapur, under the Basirhat subdivision of West Bengal, where healthcare, sanitation, transportation, and economic facilities have long been inadequate. We gratefully remember and sincerely thank all those kind-hearted and noble individuals whose generous cooperation, prayers (dua), and support helped us achieve this meaningful and humanitarian mission. The poor health conditions of the surrounding population always deeply concerned us. Inspired by the message of Hazrat Prophet Muhammad (SAW) to serve suffering humanity, we felt a strong moral responsibility to act. Our journey began with a small charitable dispensary named “Tahiria Seva Niketan”, where doctors provided weekly consultations and free medicines were distributed to needy patients. This service continued for nearly five years, during which the number of patients steadily increased. Over time, we realized that a dispensary alone was insufficient to meet the growing healthcare needs of the community. This realization led us to plan the establishment of a full-fledged hospital. After persistent efforts and the grace of Allah, the foundation stone of Tahiria Hospital was laid on 3rd June 2003 by the eminent scholar and renowned social worker Hazrat Maulana Golam Mohammad Bostanvi. Following two years of continuous work, the hospital took shape. Due to the urgent healthcare needs of the local population, the hospital was formally opened on 5th February 2005, even before the complete construction was finalized. Over the years, Tahiria Hospital has successfully completed more than a decade of dedicated service and has earned a positive and trusted reputation in the healthcare system of the region. Every effort has been made to keep the cost of medical services as low as possible, ensuring accessibility for all sections of society. We warmly invite everyone to avail themselves of the services of our hospital. We remain firmly committed to providing the best possible medical care with compassion and integrity. We also humbly request all kind-hearted individuals and well-wishers to come forward and extend their valuable cooperation and support for the continued growth and improvement of the hospital.
